Introducing Campbell Halal-certified Products

As part of Campbell Canada’s commitment to diversity and extraordinary, authentic nourishment for all, our selection of Halal-certified products are here to help you meet your Islamic dietary requirements.

Quick Facts on Campbell Halal-certified Products

  • There are a variety of Campbell Canada products that are Halal-certified so you have more food options to enjoy with your friends and family.
  • These products are certified by the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), the largest non-profit, religious, educational, and non-political Islamic organization in North America. ISNA’s Halal Certification Program was established in conjunction with professionals in the field of Islamic foods and nutrition, and with Islamic scholars. The program includes the review of ingredients, formulas, manufacturing and sanitation processes.
  • Our Halal-certified products have been chosen specifically to suit the flavour preferences of the Muslim community.
  • In the coming months, all our Halal-certified products will have the ISNA logo directly on their labels, so you can easily identify them at your grocery store.
  • You can find our Halal-certified products at all major grocery stores.

We are very excited to offer these products and hope you enjoy them with peace of mind.

For more information on Halal and the Halal Certification Program, please visit the Islamic Society of North America website.

At Campbell Canada, we take great care to ensure that these products are and remain Halal and have an on-going certification agreement with ISNA. If you have questions about Campbell Halal-certified Products please call the Campbell’s Consumer Response Center at 1-800-410-7687.

Scaramouche points to an ad “in a Canadian Muslim newspaper. Notice how the soup steam in the ad coalesces into Arabic writing.”

Campbell Canada has had the wool pulled over their eyes, and it seems plausible that there are Islamists from ISNA that have infiltrated Campbell’s, or just some moderate Muslims affiliated with the terror-linked ISNA. Not only has Campbell’s Canada gone halal, but employees were subject to Islamic dawah from a terror-linked Islamist organization, as stated in this Campbell’s report:

LAURA LEE BLAKE
Nourishing employees is as important as nourishing customers. At Campbell Canada, Human Resources Director Laura Lee-Blake is proud that Project Gateway, developed with heavy employee input has now launched, offering an expanded line of Gluten-Free and Halal-Certified products.

“Throughout the project, our own employees who were also true consumers with these needs were used as sounding boards as we moved through the commercialization process,” said Lee-Blake, who has been at the company for eight years. “It helps create a truly inclusive environment.”

Campbell Canada has 35 products that are certified Gluten-Free, including soups, salsas, sauces and beverages. The 13 Halal-Certified products are all from the soup line.

To ensure that Campbell Canada employees knew about the new products, the company undertook a number of initiatives including a one-day “Information Fair” featuring taste tests, guest speakers, and background presentations on Celiac Disease and Islamic practices.
“This was an excellent example of how to ensure that we put as many resources towards educating our internal consumers as our external consumers,” Lee-Blake said.

For Campbell’s to actually state that ISNA is non-political and that Campbell’s has blindly or knowingly partnered with a known Muslim Brotherhood organization that is an unindicted co-conspirator to the largest Islamic terrorist funding case (conviction) in U.S. history should be concerning to shareholders and the public in general.

More on ISNA from Discover the Networks:

Established in 1981 by the Saudi-funded Muslim Students’ Association of the U.S. and Canada (MSA), the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) calls itself the largest Muslim organization on the continent. ISNA was created by MSA with the help of one of Palestinian Islamic Jihad’s founding students, Sami Al-Arian.

In December 2003, U.S. Senators Charles Grassley and Max Baucus of the Senate Committee on Finance listed ISNA as one of 25 American Muslim organizations that “finance terrorism and perpetuate violence.” ISNA is known to have permitted the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development (and a number of other Islamic charities with terror connections) to set up booths at its conventions, and in some cases has helped raise money for them.

Upon learning of the arrest of Sami Al-Arian, the University of South Florida computer science professor who eventually would be found guilty of conspiring to fund the terrorist organization Palestinian Islamic Jihad, ISNA issued a statement criticizing the U.S. government for its prosecution of Al-Arian.

ISNA was named in a May 1991 Muslim Brotherhood document — titled “An Explanatory Memorandum on the General Strategic Goal for the Group in North America” – as one of the Brotherhood’s 29 likeminded “organizations of our friends” that shared the common goal of destroying America and turning it into a Muslim nation. These “friends” were identified by the Brotherhood as groups that could help teach Muslims “that their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and ‘sabotaging’ its miserable house by their hands … so that … God’s religion [Islam] is made victorious over all other religions.”

There’s much more on ISNA and you can read the IPT’s full report on ISNA here.

And the ISNA-infiltrated Campbell’s image, not sure who to credit for it, but it appeared on Jihad Watch in relation to this story:

Thanks to the Colbert Report who highlighted this Creeping Sharia post in a recent episode, as well as this image sure to enthrall the religion of perpetual outrage.

Kellogg’s submits to sharia too

27 Responses

  1. This doesn’t surprise me and I wouldn’t be surprised if its already in the States, as well as other products. Lord only knows what’s next, but I’m sure we all have a good idea. For sure I’m building up excess supplies, especially my pork!!

  2. This is outrageous. I’m going to contact Campbell’s to tell them that I will not buy any of their products so long as they include meat which is produced by torturing animals to death.

  3. Another company to get rid of

  4. In all fairness there are K and P signs on many food products.

    • So, what’s your point? T

Kosher is a whole other ball game. I have no problems with Judaism.

I however abhor islam and all it’s tenets and will NOT support any product or company that supports in any way anything remotely smacking of islam. That goes twice for anything smacking of terrorist organizations.

I will NOT eat food “blessed” ( I say cursed) with a salute to allah.

  5. As I said in the Kellogg’s thread though – it’s plant material. If it were animal products that were halal, then that would be a problem.

    • Just because you are ok with sharia law and halal products and it’s not a problem for you – and you side with Islamists on the majority of issues – does not mean it is not a problem for other people or that people shouldn’t be concerned with the Islamization of pretty much everything, particularly symbols of Americana

      symbolism is everything in Islam

the slippery slope gets more slick with each submission to Islam…you don’t mind being a dhimmi so not sure why you even read or comment here

      • Halal, however, involves inhumane killing of animals. How can one kill a plant in a halal manner?

        • How can a “religion” that requires its adherents to wage jihad and kill non-Muslims be considered a religion of peace?

Your question is irrelevant. It doesn’t matter how they define it or claim it is – they have done it and are now imposing sharia on large American corporations.

You have made it clear you don’t mind becoming a dhimmi and you defend Islamic practices more often than not – so again, your obfuscation is clear and again we question why you bother reading here and commenting.

        • If you are an atheist it should not matter. You care less about God’s commandments and you are bound for hell anyways. But as far as christians are concerned we do not eat anything that is prayed over in the name of allah or sacrificed in the name of allah. Go right ahead. Join the rest of the godless, ignorant liberal heathen that hate our Creator. It has nothing to do with being “a good dietary source”, however. Hopefully that will spark you into some scriptural reading. If not, there is no water to quench the fire in the place you are going. Go on, have a little laugh now.

      • I agree with you 100%, creeping, from the first word to the last!!

    • This is what I found on halal:
Halal is an Arabic term meaning “permissible”. In the English language it most frequently refers to food that is permissible according to Islamic law.
Halal is food that is allowed by Islamic guidelines
there are some restrictions and guidelines:
      No alcohol
fish and some seafood is permissable
      Carnivorous animals are forbidden
      Pork is forbidden
Meat killed with a sharp blade is to avoid suffering of the animal.
The killing should be done quickly, while reciting Allah’s name.
      No doubt there is more….
Being an ol’ farm girl and helping my Dad when it came butchering time, I know the quicker the animal dies, the better, and this is to prevent suffering. The only animal I wouldn’t attempt to kill was rabbits – have to be precise snapping the neck. Yes, we killed rabbits to put on the table. There wasn’t much of anything we didn’t raise and when I could, I raised my own meat until 1982.

      • In regards to HALAL:
“Meat killed with a sharp blade is to avoid suffering of the animal.” However it is okay to kill man with suffering and pain of non Muslim origin!!!!!

  6. I have an idea for Muslims. If you can ‘t eat what we eat go back to where you came from.

  7. coke and campbells boycotted!

  8. Boycott, boycott, boycott!

Phone them & send them an e-mail to tell them why.

  9. Yes the liberal and leftist blogs that link to posts like this want to have it both ways… on one hand they want to claim that there is no evidence of sharia law in America and anyone who says so is just anti-Muslim and fantasizing, and on the other hand they want to laugh off the fact that companies like Campbell’s soup complying with Islamic law…

the evidence is clear and they are forced to write about it in some fashion…since they can’t refute the facts, they ridicule

  10. pawndad; what needs to happen in order for you to understand? Maybe you don’t realize what is going on in Europe and Africa? Or you are stupid and ignorant?

  11. After 30 years plus no one in this family will buy campbell products..let the muslim brotherhood make pigs out of themselves……….

  12. You know, these are only available in Canada. But that doesn’t matter, because obviously, Canadian soups are a threat to America! One sip of this soup will turn you Muslim! Soon, we’ll have screaming hordes of quiet, polite Muslims rampaging through the streets of Vancouver! The price of back-bacon will plummet!

Dick Cheney’s former company, Halliburton, is headquartered in Dubai! Are you saying that Cheney is a closet Muslim? That explains everything!

Just because Campbell’s has offered kosher soups since 2003 doesn’t mean anything! And who cares that there are almost a million Muslims in Canada? That doesn’t mean that any company should tap that market, does it?

  13. I got a better one, it was about 4 years ago that the ISNA/CAIR sponsored “Muslimfest” in Mississauga had the nerve to post a notice that Muslims can make “Donations” to their suffering brothers and Sisters in Lebanon from the israel agression as Zakat at a special Booth for the Charity tax receipt. The Muslimfest site promoted a Chicken Farm meat packer as now selling Halal Chicken with the special seal.
CAIR was linked to hamas funding via the bogus HLF charity, and CAIR under Dr.Sheema Khan offered Workshops for dawah and knowing your duty for Jihad in canada.
I found the Jihad article on a website outside of canada that asserted that classes for kids and teens will teach how to use Jihad to create a caliphate in canada for allah. This was why I was shocked when Lib. MP Parrish was in a local paper praising Muslimfest and said that all non-muslims should attend to be enlightened about islam and peace.
Ms.Khan now has her TVO video on youtube to promote her book as if she had nothing to do with her Crusades in canada for Shariah law along with her buddy Mohammad Elmasry.

  14. This is very interesting

The latest outrage in North America is related to none other than one of the most famous canned soups.

Internet blogs have been calling for a boycott of Campbell Soup products after its Canadian subsidiary introduced a line of soups certified as halal, meaning they’re prepared according to Islamic dietary laws.

The halal soups were introduced by Campbell Co. of Canada in a few Canadian markets in January. They are designated with a special label, are available only in Canada, and the company has no plans to offer a similar line in the United States, according to company spokesman John Faulkner.

Earlier this month, blogger Pamela Geller, who runs the popular Atlas Shrugs blog, began calling for a boycott after getting wind of the halal soups. She was soon joined by other bloggers calling for a boycott of one of the most famous canned soups in America.

Speaking to the Washington Post, Geller explained that she has no objection to the halal certification, but rather objects Campbell’s decision to have its Canadian products certified by the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), an organization which has been accused in 2007 and 2008 of being linked with the Hamas terrorist organization. Prosecutors wrote that ISNA possessed “a wide array of testimonial and documentary evidence expressly linking” it with Hamas and other radical groups.

“No one is suggesting they not have halal food,” said Geller. “I’m not against halal food any more than I’m against kosher food. My issue is who’s doing the certifying.”

ISNA was also included on a list of conspirators in a Dallas court case against the Holy Land Foundation for allegedly channeling charity funds to Hamas. In 2008, the jury decided that five officials of the Holy Land Foundation were guilty of financing Hamas. ISNA denied any connections to the Foundation. There have also been allegations that ISNA has ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, a fundamentalist political movement founded in Egypt in the 1920s which is strongly linked to Hamas, but is not on the State Department’s list of foreign terrorist organizations

Meanwhile, the Campbell Soup boycott has spread its wings and has even appeared on Facebook. A Facebook page opened for the purpose of promoting the boycott urges consumers to “Boycott Campbell Soup for their certification of their products as halal and supporting the Muslim Brotherhood.”

The page has attracted nearly 3,500 supporters in only two weeks, many of whom have posted anti-Muslim comments ranging from aggressive to merely hostile. Despite this, Faulkner said Campbell hasn’t noticed any effect on its sales.
