This is a vote for sharia law, and was originally a defamation of Islam resolution, but to gain votes and fool the infidels, Muslims changed the name. How will Obama vote this year?
For the sixth year in a row, the U.N. General Assembly will vote in December on a resolution presented by the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) that calls on governments to act against “religious defamation.”
Similar resolutions have been passed every year since 1999 by the U.N.’s main human rights body. However, in both the UNGA and the Geneva-based Human Rights Council, the resolutions have drawn declining support in recent years.
Last December’s UNGA vote passed by 80-61, with 42 countries abstaining. The 19 vote margin was the smallest number yet; margins in the four previous years’ votes had ranged from 33 to 57.
Over the past five years, only seven countries have changed their position to “no.” The rest of the difference has been the result of non-Muslim developing countries shifting from supporting the measure, to abstaining.
Those who oppose the resolution, including religious freedom, freedom of expression, legal and humanist advocacy groups, believe that this trend will continue until the OIC measure fails altogether.
But the OIC is hoping that incidents over the past year, especially the Quran-burning and “Ground Zero mosque” episodes in the U.S. and the Swiss ban on the building of minarets, will help to rally supporters.
Although the OIC resolutions profess to cover all religions, only Islam and Muslims are cited by name.

UNLIKE ISLAM, CHRISTIANITY IS ITS OWN BEST DEFENSE
But we do need the laws to be strengthened to protect the lives of ex-Muslims who have opted to leave islam and becom the follwers of Jesus. Otherwise, they will fall victims to the dreadful and criminal Sharia Laws which require such innocent people of conscience to be killed.
The UN says? The Constitution says otherwise.

Freedom of Speech is the law in America. It’s time to enforce it as a universal human right.

The resolutions ate toothless; they only legitimatize local blasphemy laws which are used to persecute minorities.
International human rights covenants have the force of law on signatory nations. ICERD is one such covenant. Prompted by the OIC, the HRC named an ad hoc cmte. to draft a protocol to ICERD which will insert the demands of the resolutions into that covenant, giving them the force of law, making this blog and these comments illegal.
We are out voted. It will be passed. It will be signed. It will be ratified. The court won’t touch it. Kiss the First Amendment goodbye.
We have no defense but a counter attack. ICERD, ICCPR & CPPCG have provisions which require the proscription of Islam. Those provisions are not enforced. Rise up with a loud voice and disrespectfully demand their enforcement!
The International Qur’an Petition points out the relevant provisions and the evidence against Islam. It calls on the World Court for enforcement.
The petiton needs your signature and your support. Please sign it, copy it, paste it into an email and spread it. Exhort the recipients to sign and forward it.
Few people know about this issue, the media won’t tell them; it is up to us.
Agree with the above comments on the threat if this crazy move gets tied onto a UN convention with legal force.
