More jizya from USAID, via USAID-GEM gives Internet access to Muslim students | USAID Philippines.
MARAWI CITY: The United States Agency for International Development’s Growth with Equity in Mindanao (USAID-GEM) program has launched recently here in this Islamic city a matching grant providing internet access to Muslim students even in far-flung areas of the country.
The USAID-GEM, in partnership with the school’s parent-teacher association (PTA), has implemented its Education Matching Grant Project, where GEM matches “peso for peso” the funds being raised by PTA to implement specific education improvements in their schools.
One of the schools here where this ‘matching program’ is being implemented is in the Mindanao State University (MSU) high school department where the students who are mostly from the Muslims communities are now benefiting from the program.
The MSU high school students can already conduct researches on their assignments using the Internet in exploring the World Wide Web anytime because of this laudable project being implemented by the USAID.

According to the USAID – GEM website, one of their objectives is to, “Help bring about and consolidate peace in Mindanao.” Why isn’t there peace in Mindanao? A hint:
