A “defamation of religion” resolution before the United Nations appears to be losing steam.
The non-binding resolution, proposed on behalf of Islamic states, does not protect religions at all, according to Knox Thames of the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom.
“It’s an attempt by some member states to influence international human-rights standards,” says Thames, “and [to] limit the freedoms of religion and expression by saying certain topics are off limits and that any discussion should be criminalized.”
The resolution does not mention Christianity specifically, but it does reference Islam quite clearly — giving critics fodder for arguing its purpose is to protect only the Muslim faith from discussion or criticism.
“So if a Christian says ‘Jesus is the Messiah’ and [that] he’s the perfect revelation of God, a Muslim would say ‘No, that’s Mohammed’ — and both could claim that the other is defaming their faith,” explains Thames. “And it would be impossible for a government entity to intervene and try to sort out who’s right because it goes to the core of faith in what is true.”
The resolution has passed every year and is likely to do so again this year — but Thames says the margin of victory has been less and less each year as member nations become more educated about it.

This law is already in effect in the UK. there have been several examples of Christians (Only) being jailed for “Insulting the Muslim religion.” One was a woman who owned a B&B and who was discussing the differences in Islam and Christianity with a Muslim female guest. The Brit said they were having a pleasant chat about religion after which she was reported by the female barbarian to the UK government and the Brit was arrested. Another example was a young woman jailed for burning that book of the devil, the Koran, and posting it on Facebook. Look out folks, these laws will be passed here under the guise of the no bullying laws meant for schools which would be Unconstitutional, but of course that means nothing to our Muslim president.

Britain has ridiculous “Hate Speech” laws , we had similar here in Australia, known as The Vilification Law, brought to fruition by MUSLIMS who agitated politically to get this law through State Parliament.. It was done at a time when the Australian people were pretty much unaware of Islam and its goals, so the new Law passed in Parliament unnoticed until two Christian pastors were brought to trial ( by Islamic Council) for vilifying Islam at a seminar ABOUT Islam. One of the pastors was an ex muslim.. After a farce of a trial that lasted for years and resulted in death threats to the pastors families, and their financial ruin, the Law was amended to NOT include Religion, only RACIAL vilification.. and as Islam is NOT a race but an Ideaology, this prevents further abuse of freedom of speech by the cunning muslims, who look for every loophole to shut us up debating about their evil belief system.. Britain also needs to amend its Law to exclude vilification of religion…thats what free speech is about..the free exchange of IDEAS! Just recently here members of a local city Council called for a boycott of all Israeli businesses, manufacturers, and products. This is a Council mind you, who have been elected to look after little old lady pensioners, monitor the garbos, and set land and water rates, NOT elected to attend to the intricacies of International Affairs! Once this was brought to the notice of activists a petition was drawn up in protest and when enough signatures warrant, it will be forwarded to the State Premier who will have to act upon the petition!! Maybe a little investigation into Council to see if there are any Mahmoods, Ahmeds, Muhammads in their number.. This is what muslims do , agitate politically. But we can beat them at their own game, i suggest you monitor whats happening in your country also, theres a lot you can do to stop Sharia, and islamisation..
