Who knew the University of Central Florida was hotbed of Islamist propaganda? Fousesquawk provides an update on the continued support for terror-linked Muslims at UCF, and the continued imposition of sharia law. As we saw in this post, the Muslim Students Association hosted terror-linked speakers and had the police forcibly remove a gentleman who simply asked questions about one of the most authoritative books on Islamic sharia law.
Yesterday, the Muslim Students Association (MSA) hosted Siraj Wahhaj. A virulent anti-American, jihad-inciting Muslim who defended the mastermind of the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. It is no coincidence the MSA featured Wahhaj to speak just one day before the 18th anniversary of the first WTC bombing that killed six Americans and one unborn baby. Just before the speech, the focus of the First Amendment fight took a bizarre turn when media camera crews who showed up to cover the issue ended up being temporarily shut out of the speech.
UCF leaders had dispatched its police force — funded by the taxpayers — to protect the First Amendment rights of the Muslim Imam Siraj Wahhaj, who was named by a US Attorney as an unindicted co-conspirator in the 1993 World Trade Center terrorist attacks.
But when it came time for local media to exercise its First Amendment rights to go inside to cover the imam’s speech in the state university, UCF administrators had its police force ready to enforce UCF’s initial decision to ban cameras from recording the speech, paid for with public money. Initially, UCF administrators said no cameras would be allowed because the imam didn’t want any.
Under pressure from media on scene, including KnightNews.com, WOFL Fox 35 and the Central Florida Future newspaper, UCF administrators eventually allowed the media to videotape the event. However, they forced the independent media to set up video cameras in the back of the room, while allowing a state-funded media camera owned by UCF’s public relations department to enjoy closer access.
UCF spokesman Grant Heston confirmed to KnightNews.com that about $1,200 in student fees were paid to the imam to cover his speaking fee honorarium and travel costs. Student Government decides how those fees are spent.

It appears that Wahhaj had on his moderate face last night since he knew he was speaking to a mixed audience. During the Q and A, he stated that in a non-Islamic country, Shariah law would not be applicable. (Of course, the first step would be to change a non-Islamic country into an Islamic country.) Apparently, Wahhaj left his more radical comments to other events when he doesn’t have to worry about non-Muslims being present. In more unguarded moments, he has been known to loudly tell his audiences not to take non-Muslims for friends. He has also been quoted as telling his followers to go into the prisons and convert African-Americans to Islam so they can come back to the inner cities and carry out jihad with Uzis. And of course, there is that little matter back in 1993 when he was mentioned as an unindicted possible co-conspirator in the World Trade Center bombing by US Attorney Mary Jo White. There is also that little relationship he had with Sheikh Omar Abdel Rahman (The infamous Blind Shiekh), for who he testified as a character witness.
Muslim Brotherhood documents stated:
Established (by members of the Muslim Brotherhood) in January 1963 at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, the Muslim Students Association of the United States and Canada, or MSA (also known as MSA National) currently has chapters on nearly 600 college campuses (including more than 150 chapters affiliated with the national organization) across North America.
MSA was named in a May 1991 Muslim Brotherhood document — titled “An Explanatory Memorandum on the General Strategic Goal for the Group in North America” – as one of the Brotherhood’s 29 likeminded “organizations of our friends”…
That document also detailed the likeminded groups’ strategy:
Muslims “must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and ‘sabotaging’ its miserable house by their hands … so that … God’s religion [Islam] is made victorious over all other religions.” The Brotherhood listed some 29 likeminded “organizations of our friends” seeking to realize the same goal.

In September 1991 Wahhaj stated the following:
“…And [Allah] declared ‘Whoever is at war with my friends, I declare war on them.’ … Your true friend is Allah, the messenger, and those who believe…. Hear what I’m telling you well. The Americans are not your friends … The Canadians are not your friends … The Europeans are not your friends. Your friend is Allah, the Messenger and those who believe. These people will never be satisfied with you until you follow their religion …”
In a 1992 address to an audience of Muslims in New Jersey, Wahhaj expressed his desire to see Muslims seize control of the United States and replace its constitutional government with an Islamic caliphate. “If we were united and strong,” Wahhaj said, “we’d elect our own emir [leader] and give allegiance to him…. [T]ake my word, if 6-8 million Muslims unite in America, the country will come to us.”
Wahhaj records and sells many of his lectures and has been caught on tape stating that Islam commands [physical] jihad of the true soldiers of Allah. Listen to a portion here.
UCF seems to be a magnet for Muslim Brotherhood linked groups and individuals. When will students and residents demand an end to the appeasement and hosting of those who wish to do Americans harm?
