On June 28th 1389 at Kosovo Polje, the army of Serbian emperor Lazar made a stand against the advancing Ottoman forces of Sultan Murat, resulting in a great battle which would later inspire Serbian folk tales and poems about courage, sacrifice, betrayal and tragedy. The movie was made for the 600th anniversary of the event.

  On October 23rd, in Prague, Czech Republic there was a book-signing event for former U.S secretary of state Madeleine Albright’s new book “Prague Winter” in the Luxor bookshop. Several activists from the organization “Friends of Serbs in Kosovo” led by film director Vaclav Dvorak (the author of the documentary “Stolen Kosovo”), presented five posters with photographs of victims from NATO’s “humanitarian bombing” campaign and politely asked Albright to sign them. Ms. Albright was caught off guard, which was followed by the aggressive interference of the bookstore security.

      Prince Turki and Bill Clinton were classmates at Georgetown U Foreign Service School. and the Prince was quite a playboy.
      I know this because I went to a women’s college in DC at the same time and actually met Bill at a Young Democrats thing and knew girls who dated or thought they wanted to date the Prince. So that is an old, and long friendship.
