Google shuts down anti-jihad blog Gates of Vienna

googlestan

We saw some posts stating the Gates of Vienna blog was down a few days ago but when we checked it was working. It is no longer. The good news is they have moved. Google is still evil. Break’em up.

Old site http://gatesofvienna.blogspot.com/

From the new site, http://gatesofvienna.net

Google has not communicated with us except for the initial notice, which was as follows:

Hello,

Google has received a Terms of Service complaint regarding malicious
code on your blog. After conducting our review, and in accordance with
Google’s Terms of Service, we have removed the content at issue.

Terms of Service: http://www.google.com/intl/en/policies/terms/

In the meantime, if everyone could change their links to us on their sites, as well as their bookmarks, that will help the search engines find the new URL and give us back some of our ranking.

“Malicious code” is code word for anti-jihad.

  1. “Malicious code” is NOT code word for anti-jihad. It means there are viruses, spyware, etc present on the page. The owner of the page may not have put it there but someone else may have. Regardless, it was not an anti-anti-jihad move by google.

Also, google claims the ‘“Malicious code” was removed. So may I ask what evidence of the removal of atriles on the page you folks have?

    • Wrong, “Anonymous.” It doesn’t mean there are viruses present on the page; it means some Google programmer in section 223 sub-level 6 SAYS there are viruses on the page. You ask GoV what evidence of removal of atriles do they have for their new page? I ask you what evidence you have of the presence of atriles on their old page? And don’t say “because Google said so”. Two can play that game, and GoV has that same evidence for their new site. Surely you are not so blazingly naieve to think Google would never lie and make “malicious code” mean whatever damn thing they want it to mean? Oh no, Google has no history of ideological censorship . . . they are as pure as the wind-driven snow (sarcasm/off).

  2. WHO are YOU? This meant just as a question as you seem to be very familiar with this type situation.

  3. this is another example of cyber Jihad – they do indeed attack anti Islam sites and get GOOGLE to block them- tellthechildrenthetruth.com was blocked for months the same way- They hve trouble trying to get sites removed for “hate speech” b/c in USA we do have freedom to post what Muzzies term blasphemy. It’s not a crime here. In all fairness some web mavens have succeeded in having Jihadi fan pages, youtube vids promoting DEATH TO AMERICANS, pages advocating violence, teaching terror tactics like bomb building – taken down.
    It’s war in cyber space

  4. Google pulled the advertisement from my blog for violation I presume had to do with a posting of topless women in France celebrating the departure of the prime minister. I wasn’t looking to make a buck from the advertisement. Unlike some blogs, I only have 28 members. Take a hell of a lot more members to start clicking on those signs. Anyway glad to hear Gates of Vienna is back in business. Im sure CAIR or others of their ilk had something to do with this.

  5. All that Blogger did was to lose another blog to another hosting site. Gates of Vienna has moved (permanently) to http://gatesofvienna.net/

May they enjoy great success at their new site.

  6. Anonymous, when did the aliens bring you to Earth? Google’s behavior and wording are typical of those shutting down anti-Islamist sites. They hardly ever address the issue directly, almost always obliquely, with some reason that can neither be proven or disproven. Welcome to Earth, now work on getting up to speed.

  7. So, I’d like to know the sequence of events. Sort of like this:

    1. Google discovers malicious code on the Gates of Vienna blog site.
    2. Google informs the owner of Gates of Vienna of said malicious virus.

Then what? Did the owner of GoV send a reply saying “Huh? what kind of virus and what do you recommend to remove it” or “Oh wow we can take care of it no problem” or what?

And then what was Google’s response? And then what was GoV’s response to that?

I mean there is a WHOLE BUNCH of stuff missing from the middle of this communication.

I like facts. I like to know what happened to lead to things that happen. And there’s nothing wrong with that. Information is knowledge, is power.
