Officials tell MTA to pull Islam subway ads

Update to the NYC subway fiasco that will make many long for the days of graffiti covered subway cars.

“I strongly believe the MTA should pull the ads,” said Rep. Peter King (R-LI), a ranking member of the Homeland Security Committee. “They are especially shameful because the ads will be running during the seventh anniversary of September 11, and because the subways are considered a primary target of terrorists.”

MTA officials said the ads are protected as free speech under the First Amendment. Mayor Bloomberg agreed.

Follow the money – who’s paying for the ads? It would also be interesting to know who in the MTA negotiated this contract. If the feds chased Siraj Wahaj like they chased John Gotti, he’d be in jail rather than in an ad. Full story at the NY Post.

  1. Speaking of fear mongering and undermining the very values this country purports to stand for. Let them advertise; why are you scared of the marketplace of ideas?

  2. Standard response but pure propaganda.

Do you mean, for example, the movie Fitna? The movie that merely quoted the Koran and quoted Muslims but a film that most Muslims and Muslim countries tried desperately to prevent from being seen? That marketplace of ideas? (not to mention the aftermath)

The marketplace of ideas that is the OIC and the sharia-led UN Human Rights council that wants to limit any discussion of Islam? That marketplace? Or just the marketplace here in the US that Islam hasn’t conquered yet?

If you READ the article, it has nothing to do with the content of the advertisement, nor with the marketplace, nor any fear – it has to do with WHO is promoting the advertisement. An unindicted co-conspirator to the first WTC bombing and someone who advocates overthrowing democracy in the US in favor of sharia law.

Do you agree with Siraj Wahhaj? Do you agree with his assessments on the US, the FBI/CIA, on sharia law in the US?

The fear mongering is when Muslim groups like CAIR, ISNA, ICNA, MSA, and others cry racism whenever someone challenges them. Of course Islam is not a race so racism isn’t even possible. So then they cry Islamophobia.

If sharia law continues spreading, you'll have less and less freedom of speech - so speak while you can!
