That would be the Islamic Society of North America’s (ISNA) conference held over the Fourth of July weekend. Where non-Muslims who expose CAIR and ISNA, and jihad-preaching mosques in general, are detained and escorted out. The conference for Muslims where it was reported the phrase “what happens here, stays here” was painted on the walls.
And the conference where a United States congressman reportedly quoted al-Ghazali:
Presumably, that would be the Sufi and supposed moderate al-Ghazali some refer to as “the greatest Muslim after Muhammad”. Unfortunately, that al-Ghazali also advocated jihad against non-Muslims. The two congressman scheduled to speak were Keith Ellison (D-Minn) and Andre Carson (D-Indiana), both converts to Islam. Does whichever congressman quoted al-Ghazali agree with these other al-Ghazali quotes?
…one must go on jihad (i.e., razzias or raids) at least once a year…one may use a catapult against them [non-Muslims] when they are in a fortress, even if among them are women and children. One may set fire to them and/or drown them…If a person of the Ahl al-Kitab [People of The Book – i.e. Jews and Christians] is enslaved, his marriage is [automatically] revoked….One may cut down their trees…One must destroy their useless books. Jihadists may take as booty whatever they decide...they may steal as much food as they need…
…the dhimmi [may never] mention Allah or His Apostle…Jews, Christians, and Majians must pay the jizya [non-Muslim poll tax]….[O]n offering up the jizya, the dhimmi must hang his head while the official takes hold of his beard and hits [the dhimmi] on the protuberant bone beneath his ear [lower jaw]… They are not permitted to ostentatiously display their wine or church bells…[T]heir houses may not be higher than the Muslim’s, no matter how low…. The dhimmi may not ride an elegant horse or mule; he may ride a donkey only if the saddle is … wood. He may not walk on the good part of the road. [Dhimmis must] wear [an identifying] patch, even women, and even in the [public] baths…[Dhimmis] must hold their tongue…
In short, Al-Ghazali, like his contemporaries, deserves no reverence whatever. He was neither a “moderate,” nor a saint.
Now we have members of Congress quoting a jihad-promoting misogynist at the same conference with an unindicted co-conspirator to the 1993 World Trade Center bombing who has been caught on tape advocating jihad. Click the image below (from the conference) to hear Siraj Wahhaj tell Muslims they are required to wage jihad (from a sermon he sells in Brooklyn and online).
This is the new Muslim cool. Never far from jihad. For more al-Ghazali quotes and footnotes read it all here.
