JE Tabler at Frontpage has the video the White House didn’t want you to see, and asks why.
Why did the White House’s Ministry of Information Office of Public Engagement not only toss down the memory hole edit out Dr. Mattson’s introduction, but fail to note anywhere on their website that she introduced Brennan at all, or that ISNA “facilitated” the speech/meeting? Could it be because the OPE, who co-sponsored the event, might have considered just how horrifying it might be to the American people that the President’s Counterterrorism Czar meets with and panders to proudly anti-Semitic, Hamas-linked unindicted co-conspirators in historic terror funding trials?
On the other hand, the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) – designated by the government as an unindicted co-conspirator to the HLF trial and identified by the FBI as a like-minded Muslim Brotherhood group – proudly displayed the video and a message on their website. As the Frontpage piece notes, the contact listed on the ISNA announcement is non other than ISNA’s own Louay Safi:
(Washington, DC – February 16, 2010) The Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) facilitated a meeting with John Brennan, Assistant to the President on National Security for homeland security and counter terrorism. The meeting was intended to start a dialogue between government officials and Muslim American leaders to explore issues of national security…
Louay Safi, Director
ISNA Communications and Leadership Development
Safi is the Muslim who was recently suspended from working with the U.S. military and is facing a criminal inquiry, as reported in the Dallas Morning News:
…when The Dallas Morning News first inquired about the instructor, Louay Safi, military officials praised him. Only later did they say that Safi had been suspended from working on military bases pending a continuing criminal inquiry.
…federal prosecutors named Safi an unindicted co-conspirator in the terrorism-support trial of his old buddy Sami al-Arian. The reason: a wiretapped phone call in which the two men mocked a U.S. order banning dealings with foreign terrorist groups and agreed that Jews controlled the White House. Al-Arian has since been convicted.
Yes, it should be horrifying to the American people how current and past administrations have allowed these groups to infest national security.
