Update: Public pressure must have caused them to restore the video. Take the time to read it all anyway.
A video produced by CounterJihad critical of the Muslim Brotherhood, jihad and sharia law was removed from YouTube Tuesday due to the company’s “hate speech” regulations. The video — titled “Killing for a Cause: Sharia Law & Civilization Jihad” — was uploaded to YouTube last Thursday.
The video — titled “Killing for a Cause: Sharia Law & Civilization Jihad” — was uploaded to YouTube last Thursday.
“I am stunned that the policy that YouTube developed for the express purpose of fighting Islamic State propaganda is now being used to silence critics of radical jihad,” Jim Hanson, executive vice president of the Center for Security Policy said Wednesday.
Hanson added, “Instead of counteracting radical propaganda online, these policies are now being used to silence the very speech that YouTube said it wanted — speech that challenges ISIS.”
The CounterJihad video is now able to be viewed on their website. “Terrorism seems to be everywhere, and it’s getting worse. The bad guys have lots of names—ISIS, al Qaeda, Boko Haram—but they have one thing in common. They are all killing for a cause: Islamic Law known as Sharia,” a voice-over in the video states. “Sharia is a return to medieval Islam. Sharia demands a Holy War called Jihad. The most widely available book of Islamic Law in English says: ‘Jihad means to war against non-Muslims.’”
The voice-over goes on to say, “But there is another kind of Jihad. In their Explanatory Memorandum, the Muslim Brotherhood, calls this, ‘civilization jihad,’ saying, ‘The [Muslim Brotherhood] must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and ‘sabotaging’ its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers.’”
“There are plenty of Modern Muslims who want to ‘live and let live,’ but unfortunately the groups that speak most often for the Muslim community follow the medieval version based on Sharia. They are working to make the US more like the Caliphate. They have to go,” the video concludes.
Let’s give Hanson the benefit of the doubt, but anyone working in the counter-jihad (a name borrowed from another smaller blogger?) shouldn’t be surprised in the least.
Many in the counter-jihad have exposed, and fought, Google and Youtube (aka JihadTube) for supporting jihadi videos and banning videos that expose sharia and jihad for many years. There are probably hundreds of videos on Creeping Sharia alone that no longer work due to Youtube’s pro-sharia stance. We’ve posted on it specifically:
- Youtube bans Congressional candidate’s anti-sharia ad
- Lieberman Urges Google To Crack Down On Jihadist Websites
- Google declines request to remove YouTube terrorist videos
- Google Removes “Fitna The Movie” From Search Results
- Google’s Gmail blocks Wilders’ anti-Islam sticker mail account
- Google / Youtube refuse to remove al-qaeda and other terrorist videos
- Google shuts down anti-jihad blog Gates of Vienna
- Twitter, Facebook and Google Still Host Muslim Terror Suspect
- Google Blocking Negative Search Recommendations On Islam
We also have a growing list of anti-sharia Youtube accounts with thousands of videos that have been shut down for exposing sharia and the Muslims who are spreading it in the U.S. Clearly, many of them work at Google/Youtube.
If you haven’t already, stop using Google services.

Counter Jihad and other sites should start posting videos using platforms with usable embed codes to more easily share the great information many users may now never see.
Off topic but related: Here We go Again! YouTube Suspends Popular Firearms Channels For “Spam”
YouTube had a long, prickly relationship with firearms channels. They’ve suspended popular channels for murky reasons in the past, and have done so again today, The Shooter’s Mindset (since restored) and also Reid Henrichs of Valor Ridge.
Both were told, “This account has been suspended due to multiple or severe violations of YouTube’s policy against spam, gaming, misleading content, or other Terms of Service violations.”
Of course, neither site posts spam, offers misleading content, or in any other way violates Youtube’s terms of service.
Meanwhile, on all social media platforms – celebrating the assassination of Dallas police officers and calling for more cop killings is perfectly fine.
As we’ve noted before Black Lives Matter is a terrorist group receiving funds and training from Muslim terror groups.
