In a year of increasing Muslim violence and terror attacks including 49 killed in Orlando…the NY Timestan puff piece let slip where Amazon’s sharia-compliant ad came from: In Year of Anti-Muslim Vitriol, Brands Promote Inclusion – NYTimes.com
The gentle piano music starts as the doorbell chimes. A white-haired Christian pastor greets his friend, a Muslim imam, and the two converse and laugh over a cup of tea, wincing about their creaky knees as they prepare to part ways. Later, it spurs the same idea in each for a gift: kneepads sent via Amazon Prime. (It is a commercial, after all.)
The piano notes accelerate as the men open their deliveries with smiles, and then each uses the item to kneel in prayer: one at a church, the other at a mosque. The final chords fade.
The ad from Amazon and its message of interfaith harmony became a viral sensation this holiday season, at the end of a year in which talk involving Muslims became particularly ominous. Amazon — which aired the commercial in England, Germany and the United States — cast a practicing vicar and Muslim community leader in the lead roles and consulted with several religious organizations to ensure the ad was accurate and respectful.
“This type of a project is definitely a first for us,” said Rameez Abid, communications director for the social justice branch of the Islamic Circle of North America, one group Amazon worked with. “They were very aware that this was going to cause controversy and might get hate mail and things like that, but they said it’s something that they wanted to do because the message is important.”
Reader islamophiliawatch comments:
ICNA is the US front for the extremist Pakistani organization Jamaat e Islami, founded by the sinister Mowdoody in 1940. It proclaims its purpose as “reforming society at large.”[ii] This, of course, can only occur by imposing islamic law.
ICNA’s parent organization Jamaat e Islami was deeply involved in the Bengali genocide of 1971, when it aided Pakistani troops in brutally suppressing the independence movement, which nonetheless eventually prevailed. Accordingly ICNA’s top ranks are filled with Bangladeshi exiles who were involved or assisted in the Bangladesh genocide of 1971.
As a matter of fact former ICNA President Ashrafuzzaman Khan was formally charged with war crimes by Bangladesh’s International Crimes Tribunal in October 2012. He is accused of being the “chief executioner” of the Jamaat e Islami student organization. ICNA has openly condemned the execution of mass murderers by the government of Bangladesh.
This site and others have documented ICNA’s terror-links and sharia activities for years. Did Amazon not do its due diligence or did it ignore the facts?
While Amazon didn’t use the word Christmas in the ad, it aired at Christmas time and was clearly aimed at hijacking the good will of those who exchange gifts at Christmas.
The supposed viral nature was ridicule at the absurd notion put forth in the ad. At the same time the ad ran, Muslim clerics and mosques across the U.S. and the world admonished Muslims for showing even the slightest bit of joy about a non-Muslim tradition or holiday – forbidding it. A few examples:

A leader of ICNA wrote about Christmas on his own blog: Director of Islamic dawah ads in his own words:
…a Muslim can’t enjoin in any aspect of Christmas in the disguise that Jesus is our Prophet too, we are just honoring him by celebrating Christmas. We should recognize the bidah of Christmas and the Prophet’s warning that all bidah should be rejected. Therefore, accepting Christmas invitations, attending Christmas parties, buying small plastic Christmas trees to please the kids (some Muslims actually do) should be avoided.
By greeting Christians with ‘merry Christmas’ we are legitimizing Christmas, by driving out on Christmas eve to witness the decoration of houses, we are appreciating bidah with our eyes, by placing our kids on the laps of Santa in the malls we are handing them in the hands of a fiend, by closing our Islamic Schools or shops during Christmas we are giving it our silent approval, by selling Christmas items in our shops, we are strengthening the pillars of Kufr.
By purchasing for children books with Christmas themes (‘The Night before Christmas’), by watching Christmas movies and by giving holidays to our regular Islamic schools or weekend schools, we are passing them a misguided message.
Indeed Islam came to tear down the pillars of kufr and replace them with the pillars of Islam. Armed with facts on Christmas and eloquent words of Islam, the door of Dawah to the Christians should be wisely open.
The Muslim ad was very deliberate in omitting the word “Christmas” but the Jeff Bezos-approved message from terror-linked ICNA is the perfect example of the door of dawah being used to deceive non-Muslims.
As one prominent Catholic leader warned of its wayward leadership, “‘We will all be Muslim because of our stupidity’ and ‘WEAK’ church! It’s hard to disagree with that assessment and a quick view of the last 1,400 years.
