Tennessee: Christian university submits to terror-linked CAIR, cancels speakers critical of Islam

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) – A Tennessee university has canceled a Republican candidate for governor’s summit amid criticisms that its speakers were anti-Muslim.

A campaign news release from ex-Sen. Mae Beavers says Trevecca Nazarene University canceled the Jan. 25 Homeland Security Summit.

Council on American-Islamic Relations spokesman Ibrahim Hopper tells The Tennessean the speakers were a “who’s who of Islamophobes,” including Bill French, under pen name Bill Warner, Cathy Hinners and John Guandolo.

Trevecca spokeswoman Mandy Crow told the newspaper the event appears to have an agenda beyond a political campaign, and would distract from Trevecca’s commitment to community building, education and support of diverse enrollment at the Christian school.

Beavers said Trevecca “abandoned Biblical principles in order embrace political correctness.” Beavers, one of five major Republicans and two Democrats running for governor, attended Trevecca.

Is the Christian school counting on a large Muslim enrollment? Nashville is another area besieged with Muslim refugees and migrants. Posts here.

The Twitter shadow-banned (like @creepingsharia) Bill Warner who was scheduled to speak tweets:

And then there’s the Rogues gallery of terror-tied CAIR leaders. A Who’s Who of Hamas Terror Supporters. Not one major news outlet mentions that when citing the FBI-banned, UAE designated terrorist group.

  1. i attended Olivet Nazarene University back in the early 80s. The Nazarene church has become more worldly over the years. It still (as far as I know) frowns on movies, yet does not stand against something as antichrist as Islam. Sad.

  2. We know that the Muslim Brotherhood and CAIR are very dangerous organizations. And we know about the violence of muslim terorrism with the thousands of terrorist attacks around the world to impose their ideology. It is about 32,000 terrorist attacks. I understand that the spokesperson, Mandy Crow, must be very concerned about the retribution from those muslim groups if they had allowed the University to go ahead with the event. However, Mandy Crow and the University are admitting that they have decided to live from now on under THE FEAR OF ISLAM. She has to understand that America is a country of democracy and free speech. Why should we let the invaders impose their sick ideology and not warn the public of the tremendous dangers. I consider their decision to cancel such amazing speakers to be irresponsible and selfish.

  3. Institutions of higher learning which disparage the right to free speech, from whichever quarter, should, and would in a fair society, be shuttered and placed into disuse. And any organization which demands such disparagement should be banned from all activities on US soil and it’s leaders and members become persona non grata in the United States of America.

  4. My wife and I moved to Tennessee last fall from Ohio after we retired. I’m disappointed that a Nazarene Univ. (Christian school) would give in do easily. They almost sound like they belong in Mexifornia. The liberal institutions of higher learning out there, the Nazarene’s would fit right in.

  5. Pingback: UPA Report 01.14.18 Christian university submits to terror-linked CAIR, cancels speakers critical of Islam. This is Sharia. : :: United Patriots of America ::
