PHOENIX — A Phoenix man who was accused of planning an ISIS-inspired terrorist attack in Arizona was sentenced to one year in prison and four years of probation on Monday.

Derrick Thompson, aka Abu Talib al-Amriki, pleaded guilty to two felony charges: Assisting a criminal syndicate and solicitation to commit misconduct involving weapons.

Thompson was first arrested in 2016 after he allegedly took steps to commit an ISIS-inspired, lone-wolf attack in the state. Court documents at the time showed Thompson tried to buy a semi-automatic weapon online the year prior “with the intent to use that weapon to promote or further the objectives of a criminal syndicate.”

Thompson first pleaded not guilty to the charges in 2017, but reportedly changed his plea earlier this month, according to The Arizona Republic.

One year in jail for what police described as an “avowed jihadist” who wanted attack churches? And he was already a convicted felon.

In Florida, a man got 15 years for leaving bacon at a mosque!

  1. OK, one easy year for an enemy that wish’s to destroy everything American. Lets make it an unpleasant year for that pig. If we have to feed him it should only be pork products. he should not be allowed any islamic books rugs imams etc. Christian music should be played in his cell 24/7

If sharia law continues spreading, you'll have less and less freedom of speech - so speak while you can!
