Germany granting early release to convicted 9/11 organizer, sending home to Morocco

U.S. Rep. Stephen F. Lynch is slamming Germany’s early release of a 9/11 money man, calling it “unfathomable” to set free someone who helped the hijackers who seized Flight 11 and Flight 175 out of Boston, launching the War on Terror.

Mounir el-Motassadeq — who paid tuition and rent for the al-Qaeda killers while they plotted in Hamburg — is being deported back to his native Morocco early. He was sentenced in 2006 to 15 years, but is being given credit for time served, German’s Bild newspaper reported Thursday. He was jailed in November 2001.

“This is extremely disappointing to say the least,” Lynch told the Herald yesterday.

“Mr. el-Motassadeq was involved in the mass murder of innocent American civilians,” Lynch added. “While I have worked with the German government on many other aspects of our war on terrorism, this decision is unfathomable.”

Germany is letting el-Motassadeq out of  the country ahead of schedule so he faces being arrested if he ever returns. That deal, said the sister of a pilot murdered in the 9/11 attacks, is “pure bunk.”

“He was found guilty of 246 counts of accessory to murder — one for each of the passengers who died on all the four hijacked flights that day,” Debra Burlingame said. “It’s shocking he only got 15 years and this sends the message the cost of human life is cheap in Germany.”

Burlingame’s brother Charles “Chic” Burlingame III was the pilot of American Airlines Flight 77 that was hijacked out of Washington Dulles International Airport in Dulles, Va., and flown into the Pentagon.

She was invited to attend the 2003 trial in Germany of el-Motassadeq’s alleged accomplice, who wasn’t convicted. The news of the release, the New York native added, has her worried people are forgetting the lessons of Sept. 11.

“The news cycle is at warp speed now. Seventeen years is an eternity. … There’s no question in my mind people don’t remember,” she said. “But if you don’t learn the lessons of history, then it will repeat.”

El-Motassadeq was convicted of aiding the three hijackers, who lived in a terror cell in Hamburg — including 9/11 ringleader Mohamed Atta.

Atta was the hijacker who flew American Airlines Flight 11 into the North Tower of the World Trade Center.

El-Motassadeq also helped Marwan al-Shehhi, hijacker-pilot of United Airlines Flight 175, also out of Logan airport, that crashed into the South Tower of the World Trade Center.

He also assisted Ziad Jarrah, the hijacker-pilot of United Airlines Flight 93 out of Newark, N.J., that passengers took control of, crashing it into a field in Pennsylvania.

To let him out even a day early, Burlingame said, is “cowardly.”

“It’s human nature to forget, but we need to stay vigilant,” she said. “Europe is sitting on its hands. They don’t want to look politically incorrect. They are willing to let their own children die to show how virtuous they are. It’s foolish.”

Is Germany not cooperating with the U.S.?

Former Al-Qaeda member Mounir al-Motassadeq, convicted of preparing the 2001 terrorist attacks, is to be released after 15 years in a German prison and sent home to Morocco. According to German media he will be taken there on board of a chartered plane in a special operation, as local security services fear that US intelligence may intercept him.

Forty-four-year-old Mounir el-Motassadeq, imprisoned in Germany for taking part in organizing terror attacks on the US on September 11, 2001, is to be secretly deported to his homeland of Morocco after October 15, the Bild news outlet reported.

The exact date of the release is being kept secret, however. According to the newspaper, citing German authorities, he will be transported across the Mediterranean on a chartered flight. The tabloid claims that all these precautions are being taken to prevent the US Central Intelligence Agency from intercepting the man, who was the only one imprisoned for the terrorist attack, which left nearly 3,000 people dead, to interrogate him.

  1. Send his ass to the mountains of East Tenn. Let a few folks know he’s coming. Let the chips fall where they may. I’m betting on the Tennesseans.

  2. It’s totally amazing how that TIME has the tendency to FRY people’s brains pertaining to the 9/11 bloody massacres! People just lose their resolve to demand retribution!!! This piece of human excrement should NOT be allowed to breathe, much less be set free to kill again!!!!!

  3. One of the most frustrating moments of every day for me is when I read a vital, important, fascinating Post on Creeping Sharia that I want to send with a pissed-off note, to the White House, to other leaders, to my friends, to other sites, but I can’t do any of that, because Creeping Sharia prevents everyone who’s not on a Social Media site from commenting on the post they share. Why?

    • Thanks for reading and wanting to share Michael however we don’t prevent anyone from doing anything. If fact, we are one of the only sites that actually allows you to post comments anonymously and/or without using a real name or email.

It’s the social media sites that require you to have an account with THEM to share it on THEIR sites, not us.

Of course, most of them block our content because they are the true Islamophobes.

      • Sorry for perhaps overstating my case. What I meant was: the only option you leave for sharing articles by email, as opposed to a social media site, is the one with captcha, I’m Not a Robot, etc, and it does not allow any comment. And the only reason it’s frustrating is because Creeping Sharia is such a terrific site.

  4. Jail time equals thinki’in time now he’s released and able to plan another attack or the planned attack devised in prison ready to go.

  5. This is a betrayal of the highest order, on a par with the evil amoral savagery of Scotland releasing the Lockerbie bomber, who murdered I think 273 Americans, to a hero’s welcome. In this case the number is 264. In the USA murder of a single person may get you life, in the Fourth Reich today you get 15 years: roughly 18-20 days per American life. This fact, in a nutshell, perfectly embodies exactly why Germany today is losing its final World War…still so intimidated and afraid of the Nazis they can’t defend themselves until it’s too late

If sharia keeps spreading, you will not only be silenced by the media and big technology, you will be jailed - or worse. Speak while you can!
