Islamic call to prayer in Brooklyn is among things New Yorker’s hate most about the city

The Post rummaged through the last eight years of complaints to the city’s 311 hotline — 19,038,027 gripes — and found they painted an intimate portrait of the city’s neighborhoods.

The city launched the hotline in 2003 to field grievances about everything from harboring bees to blaring TVs. Every day, 1,755 categories and subcategories of complaints in the online 311 database are automatically updated by the city’s Department of Information Technology.

A Post analysis of the 311 data by ZIP code not only revealed what New Yorkers love to hate, but where they hate it most:

A noisy mosque

No moments of silence

Cypress Hills, Brooklyn, should pray for peace and quiet. The 11208 ZIP code had the most complaints about noise from a house of worship, with 403. More than half of the complaints list the address of a mosque, Masjid-Al-Aman, where an imam issues a lyrical call to prayer five times a day via a loudspeaker that reaches a 20-block radius, according to Gothamist.

But the top address for complaints about a noisy house of worship come from a Hindu temple in Queens, with 287. The temple’s president blames the ruckus on a neighbor blaring Nation of Islam speeches through his window across 110th Street, The New York Times reported.

Also on the list:

Illegal parking

Double-parked dummies

Queens is king when it comes to parking complaints. The borough’s 11385 ZIP code in Ridgewood and Glendale is tops in the city for complaints of illegal parking, with 17,472. Bay Ridge in Brooklyn’s 11209 ZIP code is next with 13,543.

Citywide, New Yorkers complained about drivers ignoring no-parking signs 188,976 times, more than any other type of illegal-parking complaint. Blocked hydrants followed, with 158,252 complaints.

We covered the mosque here, Video: Neighbors Say East New York Mosque Call to Prayer is “Too Noisy”.

We also covered the parking issues in New York, that coincidentally is also a Muslim issue: Muslims ignore parking laws, block another NYC street for prayers and Video: NYPD refuses to ticket illegally parked Muslim cabbies because they are at mosque. and we know that Bay Ridge is now a Muslim enclave.

  1. American hobby makers and ham radio guys. I propose making a modification to a microwave oven converting it to a high power 2.4 GHz transmitter and using it to irradiate the mosques with the intention of diisableing their amplifiers. If a resonance can be found and introduce sufficient power to burn out solid state transistors. Or if the wires to the speakers are exposed cut and short them out. A high powered air rifle may work on those evil loudspeakers.

My sympathy to the troubled residents near those mosques and we pray for the day they become rubble.
    Proscribe islam

  2. In thinking about theamplified Islamic call to prayer in the United States, perhaps our attorneyscan use the following idea to argue the case against them: Cities can call ALLpeople signed up to receive emergency information, on smart phones, cellphones, and even on land lines. Why not require that mosques send out theircall to prayers over telephones, which can be set up as easily as emergencyflash calls, so ONLY muslim members will have to hear that noisesound. (BUT,since that would defeat the supremacist attitudes of muslims, I’m sure cair hasa number of attorneys willing to wail in court how islamophobic thatrequirement would be.)

  3. No one wants to hear the brainwashing demon call! Muslums could have this sent to their cell phones, but that would defeat the purpose. The purpose is supremacist, in-your-face Islam. Just like the ass lifting they do in our streets & parks.

  4. Would you wear a T-shirt with a Mohammad cartoon printed on it?

You might in Montana. Don’t try it in Mecca.

    Why?

Because, Islam trains a small number of its most devout believers it’s OK to kill. And Islamic killers have been trained to kill anyone who insults Allah and/or Mohammad.

In Montana you’d have a good chance none of these Islamic killers would see you.

In Mecca you wouldn’t last five minutes. One of Islam’s killers would come from out of nowhere and kill you. It is that simple.

You don’t believe me? Ask any Muslim!
