A man recently fired from United Shore Mortgage was arrested Monday for allegedly texting messages that threatened large-scale violence at the company’s office located on E. South Boulevard in Pontiac.
The former employee, a 31-year-old Sterling Heights man, also allegedly posted on the social media site, Snapchat, a photo of himself holding a firearm.
Once notified of the reported threats, the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office contacted Sterling Heights police who found the man at his home. He was detained and turned over to sheriff’s deputies, then lodged in the Oakland County Jail pending issuance of criminal charges.
Deputies were given the OK to take five firearms from the man’s home to be held for safekeeping, the sheriff’s office said.
Wednesday, the Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office authorized a one-count warrant on the man for making a terrorist threat or false report of terrorism, a 20-year felony. A Thursday arraignment is scheduled in Pontiac’s 50th District Court.
Ahmed Anwarullah, 31, was issued a $50,000 bond at his Dec. 6 arraignment before Judge Michael Martinez of Pontiac’s 50th District Court. The judge also ordered Anwarullah to surrender his passport and be placed on a tether prior to release.

On Monday morning United Shore fired him. McCabe says he then sent a photo of himself kissing a 45-caliber handgun to current and former employees.
“He said he had all their sales force contacts, he knew where people lived,” McCabe said. “He said he ‘has more ammo to blow up your desecrated country.'”
Note: Anwarullah resides in Sterling Heights, a large Muslim enclave in the U.S. with many jihad and sharia problems.
