And equally important, have they stopped reporting on the threat? It sure looks like it.
According to a June 2015 report from Homeland Security Today, the Terror Threat Snapshot would be “kept up to date on the committee’s website, and that monthly summaries will be available.”
The “Terror Threat Snapshot” is a new, regular monthly product of the House Committee on Homeland Security that will track “the escalating and grave threat environment facing the United States, said committee chairman Michael McCaul (R-Texas).
McCaul said the Terror Threat Snapshot will be kept up to date on the committee’s website, and that monthly summaries will be available.
But there hasn’t been a report published since early December. That report covered terror events from the month of November but it too, like all the historical reports – has disappeared (archived here) from the committees website. Search for yourself.
Coincidentally, Democrats took the House in the November elections and a Democrat now leads the committee.
Anyone know where the reports went or if they are still being produced?
We posted a few in the past but found out they were lacking in scope as it relates to the Islamic threat to the U.S. so we started our own monthly report.
