When is Maundy Thursday?
What is the meaning of Maundy Thursday?
Holy Thursday is called Maundy Thursday from the old Latin name for the day, “Dies Mandatum,” i.e. “the day of the new commandment” referring to the command given by Christ at the Last Supper, that we should love one another, before he washed the feet of his disciples.
Also known as Holy Thursday or Good Thursday, Maundy Thursday has been celebrated since the earliest days of the Christian Church. Maundy Thursday takes place on the day before Good Friday.
Maundy Thursday commemorates Jesus’ last supper with his disciples and established the ceremony known as the Eucharist.
The night of Maundy Thursday is the night on which Jesus was betrayed by Judas in the Garden of Gethsemane.
Christ‘s “mandate” is commemorated on Maundy Thursday—“maundy” being a shortened form of mandatum (Latin), which means “command.” It was on the Thursday of Christ’s final week before being crucified and resurrected that He said these words to his disciples:
“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another” (John 13:34).
What Was the New Commandment?
Well, for one thing, it raised the definition of love to a new and higher standard. Jesus sacrificially met His followers’ deepest need—that of new spiritual life and the forgiveness of sins. He even loved His enemies, and He calls us to show love to those who don’t appear to deserve it. Just as Jesus loved sinners “to the end” (or “to the max” John 13:1) when He had nothing to gain from them, so must we.
Conversely, what does Islam teach Muslims?
Quran Surah 5.051: O ye who believe! take not the Jews and the Christians for your friends and protectors: They are but friends and protectors to each other. And he amongst you that turns to them (for friendship) is of them. Verily Allah guideth not a people unjust.
Hence, it’s no surprise that the Muslim Brotherhoood-founded Muslim Student Association – that has spent decades infiltrating college (and now high school) campuses in the U.S., is hijacking a Christian holy day to promote their Islamic supremacist ideals.
They also hijacked the American flag despite hating everything it represents and (against flag code) use it as a hijab in their hate America posters – see image below.
Any K-State student willing to attend the MSA’s Islamophobia and ask how and why the MSA has become one of the top producers of jihadists in America can use this list for supporting evidence: The growing list of Muslim Student Association (MSA) terrorists. We’ll gladly post video of the any discussion that ensues.
The MSA pledge of allegiance? It mirrors the Muslim Brotherhood’s pledge. via “Jihad is my spirit, I will die to establish Islam” (video)
Allah is my lord
Islam is my life
The Koran is my guide
The Sunnah is my practice

Paradise is my goal
I will die to establish Islam
