Obama Admin Secures Release of U.S. Muslim Brotherhood Member in Egypt, Will Return to U.S.

Obama has freed more Muslim terrorists than American citizens captured by Muslim terrorists. He hath no clothes. via Egypt frees American on hunger strike sentenced to life in prison | Fox News. h/t @CausingFitna who has more on the HAMAS Supporting Jihadist Mohammed Soltan.

CAIRO – Egyptian authorities freed a dual U.S.-Egyptian citizen on Saturday who had been on hunger strike for over a year and was sentenced to life in prison on charges of financing an anti-government sit-in and spreading “false news.”

Mohammed Soltan, the son of a prominent member of the now-outlawed Muslim Brotherhood, was arrested in August 2013 when security forces came looking for his father at his home. His family said they didn’t find the father at the time, but arrested him instead. His father, Salah, was detained later.

Soltan, a 27-year-old Ohio State University graduate and former Barack Obama campaigner, had been on a hunger strike over his detention of more than 14 months and his family said his health had been rapidly deteriorating.

Egyptian officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity because they weren’t authorized to brief journalists, said Soltan boarded a flight for Frankfurt, Germany, early Saturday en route to the United States, using a U.S. passport.

In a statement, Soltan’s family thanked those who helped work for his release, saying that the U.S. government had secured his deportation back home after extensive efforts.

“After spending several hundred days on hunger strike, and many months in solitary confinement, Mohammed’s health is dire,” his family said. “He will receive medical treatment as soon as he arrives on U.S. soil and will spend the immediate future with his family recovering.”

A criminal court in April sentenced Soltan to life, while upholding death sentences for 14 people, including his father and Brotherhood leader Mohammed Badie, and sentencing 36 others to life in prison, including three Egyptian journalists.

The case is rooted in the violence that swept Egypt after the military-led ouster in July 2013 of Islamist President Mohammed Morsi, a veteran Brotherhood leader. His supporters set up protest camps in Cairo. Security forces violently dispersed the sit-ins in August 2013, killing hundreds. In retaliation, many police stations and churches came under attack.

President Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi, who as army chief overthrew Morsi amid mass protests against the Islamist leader, issued a decree in November that allows him to deport foreign defendants convicted or accused of crimes.

Florida: Sentencing delayed again for imam accused of jihad plot

via Sentencing delayed again for man accused of jihad plot – Orlando Sentinel.

The sentencing of an Orange County man accused of teaching terrorist beliefs and tactics was delayed Thursday because a federal judge needed more time to review the sentencing guidelines.

Marcus Robertson, also known as Abu Taubah, allegedly trained another man, Jonathan Jimenez, about various military and jihadi extremist tactics to commit violent crimes overseas.

Robertson, 46, is also accused of planning to use the false tax refunds to support an overseas terrorism movement.

He was previously convicted in 2012 of illegal firearm possession and in 2014 of conspiracy to file a false income-tax-refund claim.

If the judge finds Robertson was involved with terrorist activities, his sentence could increase from probation to 20 years in prison, according Robertson’s attorney, Daniel Broderson.

Jimenez is serving a 10-year prison sentence after pleading guilty in 2012 for lying to FBI agents and falsifying income-tax documents, records show.

“The person who came down here was not an extremist,” Assistant U.S. Attorney Roger Handberg said Thursday during closing arguments. “He became an extremist because of Mr. Robertson.”

Jimenez moved from New York to the Orlando area in November 2010.

Federal agents learned about Robertson’s plan, Handberg said, by using a confidential source to get information out of Jimenez.

According to Jimenez, whom prosecutors described as a “parrot,” Robertson taught him how to shoot and use a knife and the benefits of being a martyr and suicide bombings.

Broderson said Jimenez’s account can’t be trusted because he is a known liar who is in prison for lying.

When Robertson took the stand, he told the court about the good things he’s done in communities across the country through the years — including his work from 2004 to 2006 in gang intervention in California for those who wanted to escape the gang lifestyle.

“I don’t believe I would be here if I were white and Christian,” said Robertson, who is Muslim. “How am I a threat to society when I have a white-collar crime? I’m not a bodyguard for no terrorist leaders.”

It’s been reported that he actually was a bodyguard for the convicted Muslim terrorist and mastermind of the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, the one-eyed Sheik Abdul Rahman.

“They’re essentially trying to give an imam 20 years in prison simply for possessing literature, and that’s an assault on the First Amendment, and we’re very concerned about that,” said Muslim advocate Hassan Sibly.

U.S.-trained commander of Tajikistan’s special forces joins Islamic State

…vows death to “American pigs.” via The U.S.-trained commander of Tajikistan’s special forces has joined the Islamic State – The Washington Post.

In late April, the chief of an elite police unit in Tajikistan disappeared. Relatives said Col. Gulmurod Khalimov, who commanded the Tajik Interior Ministry’s special forces, had gone on a business trip. Other rumors suggested he had vanished after falling out with colleagues at a high-level meeting.

Now, there appears to be more clarity: Khalimov is in Syria and has defected to the Islamic State.

That’s according to a recent video that emerged online showing Khalimov clad in black and espousing the cause of the jihadist organization. It’s hard to tell where the footage was shot, but in the video, Khalimov claims to have joined the Islamic State, making him one of the most high-profile central Asians to travel to Syria and enter the extremists’ ranks. He also made clear he’s not alone.

“Listen, you dogs, the president and ministers,” Khalimov says in the video, “if only you knew how many boys, our brothers are here, waiting and yearning to return to reestablish sharia law there.”

Khalimov received training from elite instructors in Russia as well as in the United States, according to a U.S. official. He had choice words for foreign governments.

“Listen, you American pigs, I’ve been three times to America, and I saw how you train fighters to kill Muslims,” he said. “God willing, I will come with this weapon to your cities, your homes, and we will kill you.”

In the video, Khalimov urges his compatriots to “stop serving infidels.”

Canada: Soccer team from ISNA Islamic high school refuses to play team with 2 girls

via EXCLUSIVE: Boys soccer team refuses to play against team with 2 girls.

A boys soccer team from ISNA Private Islamic High School refused to finish a game on Tuesday because two females were on the opposing team during a Brampton tournament.

Robert F. Hall Catholic School, in Caledon, does not have a girls team so the two females played on the senior boys team, which was approved by the Region of Peel Secondary School Athletic Association (ROPSSAA).

During halftime, the ISNA Private Islamic High School team brought the concern to the referee. Robert F. Hall Catholic School school was winning the game 3–1 at that point.

Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations, South Western Ontario Secondary Schools Athletic Association and ROPSSAA all have the same gender rule stating:

“If a sport activity is not available for a female on a girls’ team, she is eligible to participate on a boys’ team following a successful tryout.”

The girls on Robert F. Hall Catholic School team told CityNews they insisted on sitting out for the second half to allow the game to continue. The team went on to win 6-1 but both teams ended up advancing to the next round.

There is a chance the two teams could face each other again on Monday.

ROPSSAA said their rules are black and white.

But this is uncharted territory for the board so they are gathering their facts and will make a ruling on Friday about how to proceed.

Bruce Campbell of the Catholic School Board says they are disappointed and that they expect any team participating to know the rules.

The uncharted territory is called…SHARIA.

Texas: Muslim Falls for “Sick Mom” Trick, Returns to US, Arrested for Trying to Join ISIS

It took the feds fifteen months after his return to make an arrest. Feel safer?

via Department of Justice.

A criminal complaint has been unsealed in the Southern District of Texas following the arrest of a Spring man on allegations he conspired to provide material support to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), a foreign terrorist organization. United States Attorney Kenneth Magidson made the announcement along with Assistant Attorney General for National Security John P. Carlin and Special Agent in Charge Perrye K. Turner of the FBI’s Houston Division.

Asher Abid Khan, 20, was taken into custody this morning without incident. He is expected to make his initial appearance before U.S. Magistrate Judge Frances Stacy in Houston at 2:00 p.m. today.

The criminal complaint alleges Khan and a friend devised a plan to travel to Turkey and on to Syria for the purpose of joining and waging jihad on behalf of ISIL. Khan had allegedly asked a Turkish-based foreign terrorist fighter facilitator that “I wana join ISIS can you help?” He also told someone else that “I wana die as a Shaheed [martyr],” according to the allegations.

Khan’s friend allegedly made it to Syria and ISIL with the assistance of Khan and the foreign terrorist fighter facilitator. Khan had been living in Australia with a relative and made it to Istanbul, Turkey, where he was to meet up with his friend in their quest to join ISIL, according to the complaint. However, Khan’s family sent him false information regarding his mother’s health and he was deceived into returning home to Texas.

If convicted, he faces up to 15 years in federal prison. A conviction also carries a possible $250,000 fine.

The FBI alleges that Khan put his friend in contact with the Turkish-based ISIS facilitator so that the friend could join the terror group in Syria.

The complaint states that the friend goes by the name Abdullah Ali, and is a Mexican convert to Islam.

He is also from Texas, the FBI says. Ali’s Facebook page states that he is a Houston resident.

The FBI says his Facebook page included photos of S.R.G dressed in camouflage and holding what appeared to be an AK-47-style rifle. He told Khan he had gone through an ISIS boot camp, shot the rifle and “even fought a ‘(l)il bit,’” the FBI said in the complaint.

Khan told him through Facebook, “I’m happy for you and you are always in my prayer. I don’t want you getting in trouble so ima wrap this up real quick. Just a few things! Be careful who you kill, don’t neglect salah, recite qur’an and make tones of dua for guidance. And then trust in Allah. Don’t curse ppl you don’t know stuff about. And just take care, always.”

The two continued to talk in July 2014, and the friend tried to convince Khan to come join him in Syria. “That’s my baby,” he said with a photo of an AK-47. “You can have one too if you’d like.”

Khan told the ISIS recruiter through Facebook in January 2014 that he moved to Australia in 2013 because he was tired of living in the west. He said he was “sad,” because he lives in Australia “comfortably while (his) brothers are in so much hardship,” in the Middle East.

He said in a Facebook message, “All I know is that I want to fight fisabillah (for the sake of Allah). Who knows how long this fitna (a division between brothers that leads to fighting) will last? Will I miss my chance? I don’t want to fight for war booty or for nationalism. I want to just rise the laws of Allah and be a shaheed in his cause. I don’t want to be fighting with the wrong group, and so far all I see is ISIS fighting for Khilafah (the Muslim state).

Khan’s family intervened to prevent him from joining the terror group, prosecutors said. He was living in Australia with a relative and traveled successfully to Istanbul, Turkey, where he planned to meet up with a friend and join ISIS in Syria.

But Khan’s family sent him false information about his mother’s health, convincing him through that deception to return to his family’s home in Spring, Texas, near Houston.

According to the criminal complaint filed by an FBI agent, his family told Khan that his mother had been hospitalized. Khan complained in a Facebook message that he rushed back home because he was told his mother was in the ICU.

Khan, a 2013 graduate of Klein Oak High School, has been back in the United States since February 2014. He was arrested without incident by federal authorities on Tuesday, more than a year after his return from Turkey.

He also recently spent time living with relatives in Australia, according to the criminal complaint.

The FBI learned about Khan in August 2014 while investigating a friend of his. After getting a warrant to search the friend’s Facebook messages, they found he had been talking with his friend and others about traveling to Syria, joining ISIS and recruiting others to join him.

By that point, Khan had already traveled to Turkey and returned to the U.S.

Phoenix: Muhammad cartoon contest planned outside Garland jihadi’s mosque (updated)

via Muhammad cartoon contest planned for Phoenix anti-Islam rally – ABC15 Arizona.

PHOENIX –  An anti-Islam rally in Phoenix on Friday will feature a Muhammad cartoon-drawing contest.

The scheduled location is outside the Islamic Community Center in north Phoenix.

The gathering comes less than a month after a similar event in Texas sparked gunfire that left two gunmen, both from Phoenix, dead.

The gunmen, whom federal officials identified as Elton Simpson and Nadir Soofi, wounded a security officer before they were shot and killed at the scene.

Simpson had worshipped at the Islamic Community Center of Phoenix for about a decade, but he quit showing up over the past two or three months, the president of the mosque told The Associated Press.

A convert to Islam, Simpson first attracted the FBI’s attention in 2006 because of his ties to a former U.S. Navy sailor who had been arrested in Phoenix and was ultimately convicted of terrorism-related charges. Less was known about Soofi, who appeared to have never been prosecuted in federal court, according to a search of court records.

The organizer of Friday’s event said he had to do “something” because he does not want Islam spreading in the U.S.

“We’re just out utilizing our First Amendment,” organizer Jon Ritzheimer said.

Ritzheimer said he would not shoulder any responsibility if the event turned violent.

The Valley man organized an anti-Islam rally outside the same location several weeks ago, which was peaceful, he said.

He is urging attendees to be peaceful once again, but the Facebook page for the event warns people to come armed because of a “much-anticipated attack.”

Phoenix police released a statement Thursday, saying officers are aware of the event and are “working together [with other departments] to help ensure a safe event.”

Dealing with this type of activity is a challenge that is facing law enforcement across the country. Dealing with groups of protesters and opposing views is not the difficult part. Our goal and the real challenge are trying to anticipate unlawful activities that might occur in conjunction with these events.

Phoenix police said they would have officers at the event, but would not provide other specifics regarding security measures.

Arizona’s Council on American-Islamic Relations met with law enforcement on Wednesday and said they are grateful for their presence at Friday’s protest.

“We thank law enforcement authorities for their proactive effort to ensure the safety of the mosque’s congregation from hate-filled and armed protesters,” said CAIR-AZ Chairman Imraan Siddiqi. “The promise of a heavy police presence at the rally of armed biker gang members will help calm fears of harassment and even attacks on worshipers.”

A man who lives near the site of the planned rally hopes any violence does not affect neighbors.

“I just hope there’s no gun shots or anything going on,” Cristopher Cabrera said.

Some updates and photos via ABC Arizona from what will be, in the coming years, commonplace standoffs as the march of Islam continues across the world. It will be the American citizen who is left to defend freedom and liberty. As in Europe, where things are much further along. On Friday, in the Czech Republic, 15 Muslims attacked a small group of Czechs protesting against Islamic immigration (hijra).
